The Environmental and Occupational Health Microbiology Lab (EOHML) investigates the fate, transport, detection, and control of pathogens in environmental media (air, water, food, and surfaces). Research projects include:
- Environmental surveillance for poliovirus using the bag-mediated filtration system (BMFS)
- Bacterial and viral analysis of shellfish
- Mosquito surveillance for West Nile virus
- Sanitation in developing countries
